This poster has been signed in black ink by Lee Conklin.
This poster by Lee Conklin is very rare and it advertises a benefit concert for the Grape Workers Strike–a battle between the under-paid Latino and Filipino farm workers and the growers who owned the grape farms. It was a protest that lasted nearly the entirety of the 1960's in Delano California. For the first time in American History led by the illustrious Cesar Chavez the farm workers started a boycott against grapes. This concert took place in 1969 in benefit of a long grueling fight for justice by the United Farm Workers and by 1970 their determination was a complete success! Conklin cleverly incorporated the United Farm Workers logo into the illustration. It also features Santana as the headliner making this an even cooler poster that's loaded with Mexican-American history.
