This incredibly cool and desirable original pre-concert printing poster was created by the late Greg Irons for a Youngbloods run of shows at California Hall, San Francisco, during the summer of 1967. It features an image of Dr Strange, one of the most mysterious characters in the Marvel Universe. This Strange Happenings poster seldom appears in auctions - it is one of the most difficult posters to find and is one of the most popular Greg Irons designs.
Irons was a well-respected San Francisco concert poster artist, comic book legend, and tattoo artist extraordinaire. Comic book fans in the audience would be well served by checking out Greg Irons's contributions to 1960s underground comix. The artist was responsible for some of the coolest and creepiest comic books of the genre. His parodies of 1940s/1950s horror comics are wild, to say the least.
Condition Details: Reinforcement on some pinholes, creases and tears. Creases, minor stains top edge.
