The 1970 Isle of Wight Festival was one of the largest festivals of the era both in attendance and in star power. Staged on a large island on the English Channel The festival drew close to 700 000 attendees. The eclectic bill included Rock Folk Blues funk and Prog. Rock artists. The Festival was to be Jimi Hendrix last UK appearance.
