We are pleased to offer this early Jimi Hendrix poster for the FIRST TIME appearing in our auction! According to our archives this is just one of a very few handful of un-restored specimens to appear at public auction in the past 10 years! This UK Track Records Promo Poster features a famous photograph of Jimi taken by Donald Silverstein during October 1967 and printed by TSR in England.
This poster is part of the Osiris Visions Printing Company Series (the image number is OA 502). Osiris is well known for also printing the popular Hendrix poster designed by “Hapshash and the Colored Coat” (Michael English and Nigel Waymouth). Original First Printing Hapshash posters are some of the most cherished issues in the collectibles world! This poster is without a doubt a gold nugget to the early Hendrix collector! Few examples of this poster still remain available today in ANY condition and they seldom surface in auctions for collectors.
In another public auction from September 2017 an example described as "Near Mint Minus. Faint handling but the finest example we have seen" sold for $3300. This is without a doubt an almost impossible to find early Hendrix issue from the historic Osiris series and the FAMOUS Track Records! A very unique gem indeed. 100% Original with no restoration!
