This Limited Edition Artist's Proof poster is numbered AP 18/50 in pencil and SIGNED by both artists in pencil Stanley Mouse and the late great Alton Kelley! On the reverse of this poster Alton Kelley also personalized and dated "Jan 26 08" in pencil with his signature for his wife "TO MARGUERITE TROUSDALE"!
The FD-19 dollar bill at the Avalon features an all time classic Mouse/Kelley design. The duo very cleverly used popular culture images as design themes for many of their early works. In 2008 Mouse studios produced this large commemorative limited edition on fine paper which they numbered and signed in pencil! There were only 50 of these ARTIST PROOF Prints produced!
A special limited edition issue like this is unique and allows new collectors to have a chance to acquire this classic image one of the most popular 1960's concert poster images in a beautiful LARGE format size for a far lower price than the pre-concert original FD-19 printings can realize when they surface. This poster was signed by Kelley just over 5 months before he passed away.
