Jefferson Airplane was at the top of their game in 1967. At the start of the year they released Surrealistic Pillow to critical acclaim and performed at the Monterey Pop Festival. These events catapulted the Airplane into international recognition and they were considered THE San Francisco Band of the day. This vintage tour book was produced and distributed on tour in late November around the time their album “After Bathing at Baxter's” was released.
It contains 32 pages of full color photos illustrations drawings lyrics and surreal texts. It also includes a great full page shot of the Airplane Grateful Dead Quicksilver Messenger Service Big Brother and the Holding Company and The Charlatans in a group pose in Golden Gate Park. This tour book was printed in very low quantities and very few copies have survived. Even less remain in such high quality condition!
