This piece is from one of the preeminent events of the San Francisco scene.  The Charlatans performances at the Red dog Saloon aside this advertises the first true psychedelic dance concert in San Francisco. This really was the spark that lit the flame of all future “happenings” in San Francisco

Dr. Strange” was the first true psychedelic dance concert in San Francisco. This gathering   organized by a collective of artists and bohemians known as “The Family Dog” was the spark that lit the flame of all future “happenings”.


     This super rare and valuable handbill is one of the few remaining artifacts that still exist from this historic event. A true museum piece that is sure to instantly become the highlight of even the most advanced collection.

•    Condition details- This handbill  is printed on ultra thin (almost translucent) paper stock. There is a 2 ¼” area of thin and missing paper on the bottom edge from a tape pull. On the left edge there is a 7/32” tear miniscule pinholes in both right hand corners and the top left corner. There are also four tiny pinholes on the left edge. Moderate handling throughout.
