The FD 18 is another “Sleeper“ in the Avalon series. Unlike the rest of the Avalon / Family Dog posters this was printed on brown paper. Knowledgeable collectors know this paper was very easily damaged and this issue remains all but impossible to find in top condition. Mouse and Kelley once again dig into the well of popular culture icons for inspiration. This time they enlisted “Nipper” the famous terrier that was used as a logo for decades by the Gramophone Company and RCA/Victor Company. This poster was produced in a ridiculously low print run of 1300 copies. We believe that less than 10% of those copies still exist in ANY condition today. Just a tiny fraction (5-10%) of that 10% are probably signed. Read our blog dated 1/20/18 where we discuss the skyrocketing demand for signed material such as this lot.
