This piece features artwork from beloved poster artist Rick Griffin. This cartoon alien image is amongst the most popular designs from the short lived Denver Family Dog Series. The poster is one of the best Doors posters ever produced and the only one done for the band by this highly collected artist. The lettering is also one of the more difficult to decipher of any of Ricks work. Great artwork great artist and great band. High grade examples of this rare original first printing poster always generate heavy bidding. This 7.5 graded example here (tape on the reverse) should provide excellent value to collectors wanting to own this title when compared to the spirited bidding the mint copies can command.
