This is the FIRST example of this rare vintage cardboard issue we have ever offered! Part of the British Invasion in the mid sixties The Dave Clark Five appeared on the Ed Sullivan show in the US more times than any other group of that era. They topped the US charts in December 1965 with their cover of Bobby Day's "Over And Over". This poster is from their concert on June 20th 1965 at the historic Circle Star Theatre and it's 100% Original with no restoration.
The Circle Star Theatre was set up like a dinner theater when it first opened in the early 1960’s and was noted for being a “theater in the round” featuring a rotating circular stage with none of its seats further than 50 feet from the stage. Vintage cardboard posters from this venue are extremely difficult to locate due to such small quantities being originally produced for these early concerts.
