Here's an EARLY original handbill advertising an appearance of the British power trio Cream in New York during 1967. This was the second New York appearance by the super group and the trippy Moby Grape supported. The concert took place at the Village Theater later to become the Fillmore East! After this show Cream went back off the road briefly and into the studio to continue recording sessions for the future "Wheels of Fire" album. Because of their rigorous touring schedule they never had long breaks to record material. It's a miracle this original handbill has survived all these years in any condition!
Eric Clapton’s grand position among the hierarchy of Rock and Blues masters is undeniable. His legend has propelled memorabilia and collectibles related to this star to soar over the decades. His guitars have sold for record shattering prices in recent years and continue to appreciate in value. One thing we at PAE have always noticed is how much Cream original material always enjoys top demand by collectors! This lot will prove to be no different!
