Here we are offering something worthy of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! A staff pass from the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. It's in great condition – especially when one considers their age and how popular these concerts are. Bob Dylan was just 24 years old in 1965 and his performances during the ‘63 ‘64 and ‘65 Newport Festivals are iconic in his long career as a singer-songwriter.
On saturday 7/25 Dylan performed 3 acoustic numbers however the next day was his historic FIRST electric performance set of music with guitarist Mike Bloomfield and Barry Goldberg from The Electric Flag. Some of the audience booed his performance not ready for the political folkie songwriter to tread into the waters of electric rock and roll music. That alone sets this Newport fest apart from the others. What a wonderful way to own a piece of music history and share in the excitement of that concert! We previously sold the concert program from this event for $1020. This special staff pass is super clean with no tears or pinholes!
