It’s always a pleasure to offer an Original Cream poster we’ve never handled in our auction prior until now! This early 1967 concert took place at the Guildhall in Southampton England on January 13th about 8 months before the legendary power trio set foot on American soil for any live performances.
The poster was silkscreened with white ink on extremely thin paper so most surviving examples that have surfaced over the years have extensive damage however the fact remains that ONLY A FEW have survived at all. There is a date correction printed and pasted over the month as are on all of the known ULTRA RARE original first printings.
One thing we at PAE have always noticed is how much Cream / Eric Clapton original material always enjoys top demand by collectors! This lot will prove to be no different! A lesser condition example with severe paper loss and large tears sold for $556.50 almost 20 years ago in another public auction. Bid accordingly!
