This original handbill has just emerged from a recently unearthed and long held collection of Boston Tea Party material owned by a long time collector and participant of the New England music scene!
The J. Geils Band was one of the great bands of the late sixties and early seventies. Their hard blues styling featured the vocals of Peter Wolf and the blues harp prowess of Magic Dick Salwitz. This handbill was produced for a 3 night run of shows in Boston during fall of 1969.
The Boston Tea Party was located at 53 East Berkeley Street in the South End from 1967-1969 before moving to its new location at 15 Lansdowne Street through 1970. Material from the Boston Tea Party is ALWAYS coveted by collectors and music fans alike!
