This Limited Edition poster is signed by the artist EMEK and will include a letter of provenance stating it was Slash’s personal VIP copy!
Slash's other band Velvet Revolver are featured on what is widely considered to be one of Emek's best and most inventive pieces of art. This poster created on a piece of VELVET was the 1st place winner for the 2005 Pollstar Poster of the Year Award!
This particular example here is UNIQUE and special because it belonged to Slash himself! There were only 150 signed and numbered for the concert and then a limited number signed to be handed out to VIP’s (not numbered like this one). THIS POSTER WAS SLASH’S copy. When he ended his relationship with his wife they had a decoupling auction of their belongings which is how this piece was acquired!
This lot with include a letter of provenance confirming the VIP signed edition of this poster and the uncoupling auction from which it resided. Back in 2008 another VIP example of this issue sold for $1935 in another auction but it was NOT Slash's poster like this one here is. This issue routinely realizes $1 500-$3 000 when offered at auction it will be interesting to see what added value the Slash provenance delivers.
