The FIRST TIME we’ve offered this poster in our auction and it’s in super clean pinhole free condition! The "Cure of Souls” was an exhibition of LSD blotter art at the Psychedelic Solution Gallery in New York City during January 1988. The notorious exhibit was curated by noted blotter art authority Mark McCloud. Low edition runs such as this one are highly sought after by collectors of modern art and fans alike.
McCloud is an artist and ex-art professor and has been collecting blotter art for more than three decades owning what was considered to be the largest collection of blotter art in existence. McCloud was arrested twice by the federal government on charges of conspiracy to distribute LSD first in 1992 and again in 2000 although he was acquitted in both cases. Much of the available vintage blotter art was once owned by McCloud who apparently sold it to cover his substantial legal expenses. To learn more about McCloud and his work visit here.
