Here is only the second CGC graded example we have ever auctioned of this fantastic First Printing Fillmore Poster! The long and spectacular tradition of Bill Graham Grateful Dead New Year’s eve concerts started with this show in 1966 and continued with few exceptions up until Graham’s death in 1991.
A truly historic piece and a great design as well! Because of its long shape this issue seldom appears in auctions without heavy damage. This 8.0 specimen appears far cleaner than its numerical grade suggests and will provide a valuable opportunity for collectors to grab this example without paying what the higher grade pieces can command. In May 2018 a signed 9.2 graded example reached $1036 in our auction. That was the only other time we offered this issue with CGC grading. We may not see this poster appear again for many months or years.
