This parody of an old west “Wanted” poster promoted an early 1966 concert by the groundbreaking Charlatans at Sokol Hall. The event was held just months after Bill Graham had his premiere show at the Fillmore. This Alton Kelley designed poster is featured in The Art of Rock page 68.

This is only the second CGC graded example of this original first printing poster to appear at public auction! In April 2017 a lower 9.0 graded example reached $989 in our auction. In any other collectibles market this poster would be worth many multiples of the previously sold example. It will be interesting to see what premium the market attaches to this superior example now!
