The Black is Beautiful movement in the 1960’s was based around a fight for an equal perception of the black body to help undo all the negative ideas brought about by a previous history of white supremacy. This movement began in an effort to counteract the racist notion in American culture that African-Americans were less attractive or desirable than others. It was an important cultural movement that still continues to grow stronger with each passing year and hopefully this world will be completely free of racial bigotry someday. Peaceful coexistence harmony and love among all humans is a future on Earth worth having for everyone.
