MONKEY WRENCH GANG - 1987 Calendar - First printing - 11 3/4" x 11 27/32" - Illustrations by Crumb Edward Abbey (RIP) text and color interpreted by Mark Knudson - Published by Dream Garden Press - Features cover illustration in same colors as hardback dust jacket different scene & illo though and back cover features the full color illustration from the hardback dust jacket - Inside front cover features black and white photo of Abbey and Crumb at Canyonlands National Park near Moab Utah - 12 different colored illustrations inside a few of which were not included in the first printing hardback book in 1985 along with the misc. small illustrations Crumb realized for the book - Stress lines bends along spine some light discoloration in the white background few light difficult to see bends in the front cover minor corner dings - Relatively small print run for a nationally distributed calendar and since the calendar was a financial disaster and very poorly distributed most of the low print run went to a paper pulper back in the early 1990's and the remaining copies were eventually sold off by the publisher! - MEGA SCARCE item nowadays and it's EXTREMELY unlikely you'll find another copy listed on the web anywhere currently! - PAE Graded Near Mint "89"
THE WORLD ACCORDING TO CRUMB Book - C.N.B.D.I. France 1992 First Printing Thin Soft Cover Quality Book with Dust Jacket - 6 55/64" x 10 1/16" - Features FULL COLOR front cover by R. CRUMB as well as a full color photo of CRUMB himself on the back cover - This slim book was published on the occasion of an exhibition called "THE WORLD ACCORDING TO CRUMB" which was displayed in Angouleme Haarlem Erlangen and Oxford in France - An unusual publication it is printed in both French and English in parallel text and is bound in illustrated white card covers with a FULL COLOR pictorial dust-jacket; it comprises 64 pages of text interspersed with drawings and cartoons PLUS the FULL COLOR front & back covers - The book itself is in at least FINE condition while the non price-clipped dust-jacket has just slight edge-wear (shelf wear) although remaining bright and in great shape overall - Great condition copies like this example are Scarce!
