We are very pleased to offer this beautiful record store cardboard promo for the FIRST TIME in our auction! Sausage king and country music star Jimmy Dean signed with Columbia Records in the late 50's and this stand-up cardboard counter-top promo was issued to retailers in 1962 with his album release "Portrait of Jimmy Dean". His country flavor crossed over into rock 'n roll with the hit "Big Bad John" and his popular 1963 television series gave puppeteer Jim Henson his first national media exposure. Very few of these original 1960's cardboard record promos have survived the test of time in ANY condition.
