Psychedelic Art Exchange is offering of one of the most iconic and celebrated concert posters of the 1960s… the famous FD14 “Zig-Zag Man” which advertises a pair of concerts by Big Brother and The Holding Company and Quicksilver Messenger Service that took place at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco California on June 24-25 1966. This show is the first performance of Big Brother that would showcase their new lead singer Janis Joplin. This poster along with the FD26 and the BG105 is universally considered one of the most iconic poster images of the 1960s. The poster represents the very first time that the legendary poster artists Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley worked together at Mouse Studios!The popularity of this poster is so extreme that it was immediately put up on walls everywhere in the Haight. It was reprinted right away and was also the first poster to be counterfeited.

• Condition Details – This poster has three tears on the top edge; a 1 ¼” tear another 1” tear and one that is ¾”. There is a 2” tear at the bottom edge a 1” tear on the right edge and a 1” tear on the left edge the left edge also has four ¼” tears. There are pin holes in all the corners a stain at the top left tape pulls on the reverse.
