What a perfect way to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of Woodstock! This is only the second time we've been able to offer the collecting community one of these amazing ORIGINAL HANDBILLS with CGC certification! The High Grade one you see here is simply incredible.

The Woodstock Music and Arts Fair is easily the most famous musical/cultural event of the 1960’s. The festival was originally intended to be held in Wallkill New York. Permits however  were denied and the festival promoters had to find a new location just a month prior to the festival. The festival was then moved to Bethel NY. The rest is history. The event represented the peak of the 1960's music scene. In many ways it also signified the end of the era.

The original pre-concert first printing handbill being offered here was designed for the original site by Fillmore East poster artist David Byrd. It is much harder to track down than the other popular woodstock fest handbills and material. The fact that this piece is certified by CGC places it into a whole other dimension! Beat-up toned out and creased non-CGC examples have appeared in past auctions. This piece is in a different world by comparison.

This stunning 9.8 Museum Quality example is bright and fresh with sharp corners and fantastic eye appeal. With the growth rate of authenticated material continuing to increase this gem is bound to become even more desirable with each passing year. It exhibits all the attributes collectors are looking for in a blue chip piece!
