Poster dealers try to refrain from using the term “Rare” because in most cases “rare” is a relative term. That is not the case with this lot which is exceedingly rare by any definition of the word. This is an original poster & press pass for the famous Atlantic City Pop Festival held in August 1969. The poster is laminated under clear plastic for protection. This 3 day festival took place just 2 weeks before Woodstock and featured many of the All-Star bands of the era including Janis Joplin Jefferson Airplane Santana Creedence and many more.
There is a wide and deep group of collectors that actively seek out posters that are truly rare and all but impossible to find. It is understood that if one is lucky enough to locate such an item 99 out of 100 times the quality will leave a lot to be desired. This is not the case here. The winning bidder will be adding an extremely scarce example of an exceedingly rare poster & press pass from one of the most legendary of summer festivals.
