This limited edition poster is numbered 306/500 and signed in pencil by Ray Manzerek Robby Krieger and John Densmore of The Doors! The Rick Griffin signature is a printed facsimile.
The FD-D18 features artwork from beloved poster artist Rick Griffin. This cartoon alien image is amongst the most popular designs from the short lived Denver Family Dog Series. The poster is one of the best Doors posters ever produced and the only one done for the band by this highly collected artist. The lettering is also one of the more difficult to decipher of any of Ricks work.
In 2008 Rhino Entertainment produced this massively sized 24 1/2" x 37 1/2" commemorative limited edition on fine paper. There were only 500 of these huge and amazing pieces produced and distributed by Rhino Records! The print run from Rhino also included other popular titles like FD-5 FD-26 and FD-12. There is a Rhino / Warner Entertainment stamp on the reverse of this poster.
