The house band for Stax Records Booker T. & the M.G.'s are most notable for backing several popular singers including Otis Redding. They also consistently issued singles from 1962 to 1966. After a short period of commercial decline Booker T. finally returned to the Top 40 with the 1967 instrumental hit "Hip Hug-Her" which is also listed on this cardboard tour blank from the same year. It was the first released single Booker T. Jones played a Hammond B-3 organ on.
