This vintage Grand Old Opry Cardboard issue from 1952 features country western legends Carl Smith and Merle Travis at the KRNT Theater in Des Moines. Carl Smith just signed a recording contract with Columbia Records 2 years prior and Travis already had a string of chart-topping honky-tonk hits in the late 1940’s. His popularity in the world of Country Music peaked during this classic era in 1952. Original cardboard posters remain one of the most highly sought after type of concert memorabilia ever known.
