We are both pleased and honored to present the very FIRST example of this highly desirable Jimi Hendrix handbill that we have EVER auctioned. Best of all it’s in magnificent Museum Quality Condition! There is no icon more sought after in this exciting hobby than the great Jim Hendrix. When a relic of this nature surfaces in high quality condition collectors take notice.
Fall of 1968 was a supercharged era for Hendrix. His 3rd album “Electric Ladyland” was released on October 25th and by mid-November it had reached number one in the United States spending two weeks at the top! The double LP was his most commercially successful release and his only number one album. He was touring heavily with the Experience beginning November in the Midwest and working their way up and down the east coast through the rest of the month. This concert in Cincinnati on November 15th took place the day before Jimi melted the faces off a sold-out crowd at the large Boston Garden arena.
This handbill was created on super thin paper making it hard to believe it has survived the past 51 years in such amazing museum quality condition. Handbills are currently one of the hottest segments of the market. Read our blog dated 5/18/18 for details! A very special opportunity that is sure to attract keen bidder attention!
