This lot will be accompanied by a Letter of Provenance attesting to the fact that it resided in the historic Early '66 Time Capsule Collection one of the most exciting and important concert poster discoveries of the past 20 years.
Here we have an Original Charlatans Handbill produced for Lincoln's Birthday Party concert at The Firehouse a decommissioned fire-station turned into a small music venue. This show featured an early appearance by Sopwith Camel who were living and rehearsing upstairs in the building at the time. The venue was owned by George Eby and his dog "Potpan" is mentioned on the handbill along with a light show by Ray Andersen (spelled incorrectly on the piece). Andersen was projectionist and producer of the HOLY SEE LIGHT SHOW which was a part of many Bay Area Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane concerts during the late 60’s. This is the very FIRST example of this handbill we've ever offered in our auction and it's 100% Original with no restoration!
