This lot will be accompanied by a Letter of Provenance attesting to the fact that it resided in the historic Early '66 Time Capsule Collection one of the most exciting and important concert poster discoveries of the past 20 years.
This is an Early Fillmore issue not under the BGP auspice! From back when Graham rented the hall to a couple other wanna-be promoters before he consolidated it just for his own use. One of those promoters was the early FD/Chet Helms who was partnered with Graham for a minute at the Fillmore.
The artwork for this rare piece was produced by an unknown artist but it incorporates the arch letter design elements Wes Wilson was beginning to exhibit and subsequently ran with on the BG-3.
For the collector chronicling the early San Francisco Dance culture scene at the highest level. An original 8 1/2" x 11" flyer produced for phone poles and taped in store windows. They were not “handed out” as the smaller postcards and thin paper handbills were.

Important note: This is the same lot we previously auctioned off earlier this year in Part 1 of The Early '66 Time Capsule Collection where it realized $2 400. We mistakenly described the handbill as being pinhole free and it was returned by the winning bidder. Nevertheless the 8.5 grade designated by CGC was accurate then... as it is now. It was our description that was mistaken.
