This is an Original Promotional Poster which was produced and distributed for the Bay Area 1960’s band Initial Shock. Best of all this piece is STAMPED on the reverse with the Personal Management information for the group Jerry Read! Our research indicates this poster was produced in late 1967 when the band began performing at the Straight Theater and the Western Front.

 

The Initial Shock moved to San Francisco in 1967 from Montana and featured members George Wallace William "Mojo" Collins Steve Garr and Brian Knaff. Guitarist George Wallace later worked with Janis Joplin. The band Initial Shock released two singles between 1967 and 1969 but no full albums. This extremely rare poster was produced on heavy vellum paper and is in super clean condition with no nicks cuts tears or pinholes!
