We are pleased to offer this special Original Postcard for the FIRST TIME in our auction. This lot exhibits an extremely UNIQUE trait which will undoubtedly appeal to many collectors and attract attention!
This is a Fillmore East Schedule Postcard addressed to the one and only RAY ANDERSEN! Andersen was projectionist and producer of the HOLY SEE LIGHT SHOW which was a part of many Bay Area Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane concerts during the late 60’s. He also owned a famous Record Store in San Francisco called “Grooves”. Andersen operated and presided over the store at Market Street and Octavia Boulevard for over two decades but sadly passed away in 2016.
In addition the postcard schedule features 1969 – 1970 concert dates by several legendary groups including The Grateful Dead and the historic January 1st 1970 performance of The Band of Gypsys: JIMI HENDRIX Buddy Miles and Billy Cox. The recording would be used for the magnificent live album released 3 months later. It truly was one of the best concerts ever. This original postcard is oozing with deep musical history!
