We are happy to offer this Jim Reeves original cardboard poster for the FIRST TIME in our auction. Known as "Gentleman Jim" his records were charting through the 50's and the 60's. Reeves became well known as a practitioner of the Nashville sound a mixture of older country-style music with elements of popular music. His songs continued to chart for years after his death. He died in an airplane crash during 1964 and he's a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
This example here is one of the original Hatch file copies! A timeless treasure from the halls of American music history that was printed by The Hatch Poster Company of Nashville TN. Hatch is the most notable letter press poster company of all time! They created some of the most valuable posters ever printed. To add even more this poster was culled from the company's files thereby explaining the folds. A real piece of Americana!
