Psychedelic Art Exchange is pleased to offer one of the most important and sought after concert posters ever issued – The Beatles at Candlestick Park August 29 1966 for the FIRST TIME with CGC Grading! This was the very LAST performance by the most important musical group of all time.
This large cardboard poster was designed by legendary psychedelic poster artist Wes Wilson. It is unique amongst Beatles posters because it features psychedelic imagery as provided by Wilson in contrast to the “boxing style" that was used for all other Beatles posters.
This First Printing poster was only released in a tiny quantity of 300 produced. Of those most experts believe less than 50 examples still remain on this planet in ANY condition. When it comes to music memorabilia most experts agree that there is The Beatles...and then everyone else!
If there is any question about the long term trend of values for posters such as this consider the fact that the two most recent Beatles Candlestick Park posters to appear at auction were: A restored piece that brought $4 037 on 3/23/17 and an all original piece with no restoration cataloged as Mint 93 which reached $14 387 on 1/26/17 in our Mega Sale. An example cataloged as being in "excellent condition" brought $10 098 on 12/4/16 in another public auction and an example with a corner bend in the lower right corner and a bend all along the bottom edge of the poster brought $13 282 on 9/4/14.
