We are pleased to announce this is the FIRST CGC graded example of this Grateful Dead poster to appear in our auction! This original poster created by Detroit artist Gary Grimshaw is one of the most popular Dead posters of all time. This example here has black marker writing at the bottom advertising where tickets could be purchased "Tickets - Discount Records". This accounts for much of the reason why an otherwise clean piece would receive a 7.5 grade from CGC.

The cartoon image shows just how diverse Grimshaw’s talent was. He utilized varying styles throughout his poster making career. Also worthy of note the band's run in Ann Arbor in 1971 is legendary with deadheads. Read our Blog Dated 8/1/18 where we discuss the recent growth of the Dead’s legacy with today’s younger generation and the impact this has on authentic material in our collectors world.
