We are pleased to offer this ultra rare very early Bill Graham-Mime Troupe handbill. Most fans of this auction are aware of the impact that Bill Graham had on the San Francisco Rock Scene on the 1960’s and beyond however only a handful of collectors are tuned into the early history of the world’s most famous rock and roll impresario.
This double-sided handbill is from some of the very first days of Graham's tenure with the Mime Troupe and is one of the first to feature his name at the top. With shows at the Gate Theatre and the Berkeley Little Theatre spanning October and November the group performed the morality play "Chronicles of Hell". This super scarce historical piece is in museum quality condition!
