This is the FINEST QUALITY example of this historic original poster to appear in our auction! The 1970 Isle of Wight Festival was one of the largest festivals of the era both in attendance and in star power. Staged on a large island on the English Channel The festival drew close to 700 000 attendees. The eclectic bill included Rock Folk Blues Funk and Prog Rock artists!
Legendary names like Jimi Hendrix The Doors and The Who performed and the festival was to be the last UK appearance for Hendrix. In October 2015 a lesser quality condition described as "Excellent 79" with a tear nick and creases brought $500 in our auction. Earlier this year a similar condition example reached $900 in our auction. Superb Museum Quality with no nicks cuts tears or pinholes!
