This poster was designed by Wes Wilson for a performance of the Beard at the Fillmore. The Beard was a play by beat playwright Michael McClure and it’s a true gem from the era. Although not a musical event The Beard was a perfect illustration of how inspired young artists pushed the envelope and created a new culture. This poster is tied for the FINEST example we have ever handled of this highly sought after and super popular issue!

In August 2018 a same graded 9.6 example reached $978 in our auction. Early issues from the Fillmore Auditorium enjoy tremendous collector demand for the tiny and dwindling supply of high quality examples. We believe they represent amazing values at current price levels. Superb Museum Quality with no nicks cuts tears or pinholes!
