Hey Griffin fans! This is only the third CGC graded example of this original Rick Griffin poster to appear in our auction and it's in the FINEST QUALITY condition! The artist contributed a true masterpiece design for this his only Straight Theater poster. It features bird-shaped lettering forming the words "Grope For Peace" and a Phuba (a Tibetan magic wand) on a field of red and green sun rays.
A very beautiful image with staggering eye appeal by a legendary artist! We previously sold a lower 8.5 graded example for $570 in our auction. In any other collectibles market this poster would be worth many multiples of the previously sold example. It will be interesting to see what premium the market attaches to this superior 9.6 example now!
