This is the very FIRST CGC graded example of this super rare variant to ever appear at public auction! Victor Moscoso posters have been setting all kinds of records lately at auction and it's easy to understand why. Moscoso's featured display at The Summer of love Museum exhibit in San Francisco was the hit of the museum.
This Original First Print variant here is known as half of Neon Rose #13 Version B. Uncut pairs of NR-13 Version A were printed as double sized posters and overprinted with 2 black & White images created by Rick Griffin. On the left side was a design for the film "Lucifer Rising". The right side was the cover for the underground paper “The San Francisco Oracle“ for issue #6 in 1967. This piece is the latter and was hand cut from the original double sized poster.
The only reason this poster was graded "Restored" by CGC is because it was hand cut from the Original double sized NR-13B poster. There is no restoration or color touch on this piece. There is RARE and then there is SUPER RARE. This lot is obviously the latter! A unique treasure without a doubt!
