This auction features several lots from the collection of long time Frank Zappa associate Coy Featherstone. Featherstone is listed as the assistant engineer on Zappa’s “One Size Fits All” album. He was also the lighting director on Zappa’s touring crew for several decades.
The consigner of these posters discovered them after purchasing the contents of an abandoned storage unit. This is a rare once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase very scare posters from the career of one of the greatest composers and producers of the 20th century.
This has got to be one of the most collectible pieces from the collection. A card that celebrated the tenth Anniversary card of The Mothers of Inventions. In the foreground are caricatures of the 1974 Roxy and Elsewhere Band and in the background are ghostlike image of the original Mothers. The inside of the card is equally beautiful. This must have been sent out to friends and business associates of the band.
