This amazing 9.6 museum quality example is tied for the FINEST we've ever offered in our auction! The FD 16 is one of the most popular concert posters ever created by two of the most legendary artists of all time Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. Here the duo’s take on another icon of popular culture. Just 1000 posters were originally produced. Very few have survived in this state of preservation and demand far outstrips the available supply.
This piece is unique because the red run is printed slightly off register. This is just the 6th 9.0 or higher example to appear at public auction with CGC grading. A slightly lower 9.4 example brought $1905 on 9/11/16 and we sold a same 9.6 graded example that was signed for $4899 on 1/18/17.
