Underground comix writer Jim Franklin created “Armadillo Comics” and is best known for his poster art produced for the historic Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin. This is the FIRST CGC graded example of this original Vulcan Gas Company handbill to appear in our auction!

The material that was created for the Vulcan Gas Company in Austin Texas in the 1960s are some of the most desirable and valuable in the entire genre of Psychedelic Concert art. These scarce posters and handbills were printed in far less quantity than those for the major San Francisco dance halls mostly in quantities of 500 or less.

Very few of these unique and fragile handbills remain available today in ANY condition. This Shiva's Headband Original Handbill is in beautiful condition with no visible flaws of any kind. It's a wonder how this small thin paper stock specimen remained in super clean shape all these years!
