This desirable early Grateful Dead original first printing poster is one of the most sought after images of the Bill Graham collection. It features Wes Wilson’s art and an image that is associated with one of the most iconic bands of the period with support by the Chicago Blues man Otis Rush. We are very sad to hear about the legend's passing late last year. This specimen is only the 4th CGG graded example we have ever offered and it's in Museum Quality Condition! All OP-1 posters of this issue are extremely light sensitive. The blue color tends to fade to grey very quickly.
In May 2018 a similar 9.4 graded example realized a high water mark of $2186 in our auction. Collectors "in the know" are aware the BG-51 OP-1 very seldom surfaces at auction in mint condition. It is often being hunted down by the community and we get numerous requests for it on a regular basis.
