This David Byrd image is celebrated in The Art of Rock as plate #2.90. The venue the famed Fillmore East was located in the lower East side of Manhattan and was host to all of the major acts of the day. There are relatively few posters for the Fillmore East rather Bill Graham used his print budget to create playbill type programs for the theatre style venue. This poster is one of the most requested Hendrix posters of all.
