Arthel Lane "Doc" Watson was an America treasure. His role in the preservation and popularization of American roots music is incomparable. The legendary guitar master’s work spanned nearly 70 years but interestingly he did not record his first solo album until 1964 when he was in his 40’s.
The 5th Annual Folk Festival in April '66 features several notable artists performing as well as Doc Watson including: Dan Hicks Mimi & Richard Farina and the Blues Project. This beautiful original poster was designed by The Charlatans' own Michael Ferguson however they did not perform at the festival.
