This lot will be accompanied by a Letter of Provenance attesting to the fact that it resided in the historic Early '66 Time Capsule Collection one of the most exciting and important concert poster discoveries of the past 20 years.

Here we have a March 5th '66 Charlatans Handbill produced for a concert at The Firehouse a decommissioned fire-station turned into a small music venue with the one-man-band Jesse Fuller and The Wildflower. Dead heads are familiar with Jesse Fuller who wrote "Beat it on Down The Line" and "Monkey and the Engineer".

The Amazing Charlatans were the grand-daddies of the San Francisco psychedelic rock era beginning as far back as 1965 with their historic run of shows at the Red Dog Saloon. They remained in the San Fran music scene for several years and are as much a part of the story as the Airplane or the Dead.
