The Doors made an appearance at Bill Grahams Fillmore East in March of 1968 and to the recollection of those in attendance it was one of the most memorable shows ever staged at the famed venue.
In early ’68 The Doors had returned to the studio having mostly exhausted their existing repertoire of songs. Coming off the New Haven Arena incident leaving Jim Morrison charged with inciting a riot indecency and public obscenity this was really the beginning of Jim’s descent. The recording was marred with tension as the front man was increasingly dependent on drugs and alcohol and the band’s producer Paul Rothchild rejected Morrison’s epic composition “Celebration of the Lizard” as “not commercial enough”.
Here you have a chance to own a piece of one of the greatest rock band’s history at their zenith.
