The Monterey Pop Festival was one of the most pivotal musical events in history. The festival welcomed in the “Summer of Love” and featured the first U.S. performances by both Jimi Hendrix and The Who! Printed on silver foil this is one of the most beautiful important and sought after posters of the entire era. Very few of these original printings still exist today in any condition. In July 2017 we sold an example graded 9.4 by CGC for $5187 in our auction. This example here will provide collectors waiting to get their hands on this issue a chance to own one for far less than the high grade mint examples would command.
