Here we have the FIRST CGC Graded example of this scarce Lee Conklin designed poster to appear in our auction! San Francisco's It's a Beautiful Day featured vocalist Pattie Santos with violinist David LaFlamme and his wife Linda on piano. The group almost got their shot at the 1969 Woodstock Festival but at the last minute Santana was added to the bill in their place. However the amazing live performance of their popular song "White Bird" at the Fillmore in '71 appeared in the documentary film & album release about the closing of the Fillmore West.
This super trippy Lee Conklin poster was designed for a 1969 concert at Waikiki Shell in Honolulu. Very few of these posters have survived today. Best of all this example is SIGNED by the artist! More and more collectors are coming into the fold with the knowledge that artist signatures add a whole other dimension to their treasures.
